7.1.1 On library hours

Recommendation Item: We propose to consider extension of the library hours depending on the trends in the number of users and users' manners.

Countermeasure/implementation method: We will study the extension of the library hours considering the usage rate, users' manners and security status as well as the budget with preference in the extension of hours on holidays.

Recommendation Item: We propose to place importance on the access to the library in the planning of Suzukakedai Campus.

Countermeasure/implementation method: We, the library staff, realize the access to the Suzukakedai Library is not convenient. We will try to make the Suzukakedai Branch to be more useful in the Suzukakedai Campus planning.

Recommendation Item: We request that a better system be implemented at the time of system update scheduled on January 2013 in consideration of students' opinions.

Countermeasure/implementation method: We will select a system with preference on the improvement of accuracy and performance of OPAC.

Recommendation Item: We request that a better home page design to be adopted considering students' opinions at the time of system upgrade scheduled in January 2013.

Countermeasure/implementation method: We are working on a better design for the system update scheduled in January 2013. A minor change was introduced related to the opening of the new library.

Countermeasure/implementation method: We will try to enrich the collection of books on the interfacial areas between natural and social sciences and social sciences, such as management and innovation studies, classes of which are offered in our university.

Countermeasure/implementation method: Since it is a library attached to the university, we are at the moment acquiring books with primary preference on the books related to the research fields conducted in the university and the educational field. We acquired approximately 1,700 paperbacks from the president's expense as an effort of enrichment of the stock of books other than the professional fields. At Suzukakedai Branch of the library, Peripatos Collection, which consists of mainly paper backs of novels and the likes, is still expanding, currently with approximately 3,000 books.
